Soya toasters – Why toast soya?

 

To eliminate the anti-nutritional components contained in whole soya.

 

 

Soya seeds are precious for their wealth of high organic value oils and proteins and are particularly suitable for animal feeding.  However they contain anti-nutritional components which will cause reduced productivity, and consequent economic losses, if they are not eliminated by suitable heat treatments (for example chick growth, egg output, reproduction).  Feeding whole soya to milk cows can affect the composition of butter and consequent its consistency and preservation.

 

 

The Mecmar toasting oven enhances the nutritional properties of soya and eliminates noxious and anti-nutritional components.

 

 

An indicator of the anti-nutritional components contained in soya is the presence of an enzyme called urease which is gradually eliminated by toasting:  lowering the level of urease lowers the level of noxious elements.
