Mecmar S.p.A. - Cereal Dryer

Products - Tower Dryers - Model RT

This is the most compact family of dryers (dia. 2.5 m).  It is easily transported on trailer trucks in an enbloc unit and can be moved about on the farm by using a crane and just removing a few bolts.. This feature makes these incredibly efficient and economical to install and set up.  Our RT line is conceived to offer the benefits of continuous flow drying to farmers, with all its rapidity and low consumption rates.  The ventilation system consists of a single electrically powered fan.

Fuel oil, liquid gas and methane burner.  The combustion system calls for using air vein or

blown air burners in fuel oil or gas versions according to customer’s preferences.

Energy Savings:

  • MECMAR dryers guarantee high efficiencies, greater than 90%, because heat that is removed during the cooling phase is not wasted but is recovered to heat drying air.

Environment and Quality:
  • Dust emission is extremely low, in compliance with the most stringent environmental protection standards.
  • The tower structure guarantees smooth and spontaneous cereal descent.  Movement is uninterrupted.  The product never clogs up and exits perfectly dry, clean, cooled and ready for storage.

Safety:

  • MECMAR dryers come standard with a system of probes and electronic and mechanical sensors that maintain high safety levels to protect the machine operator, the product and the machine.

  • The entire pressurized combustion chamber is surrounded by 30 cm of material in order to exploit every single calorie of heat generated by the burner.  Suitable flow inverters inside the wall of grain ensure highly homogeneous drying.
  • The wall of grain also constitutes a perfect anti-noise barrier, reducing noise emissions to very low levels.
  • Many temperature sensors installed at various points in the dryer give “Real Time” information on the drying process.
  • Minimum level gauges are offered as an option, connected to a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to avoid potential heat losses when inside product levels are low.

Machine photos, dimensions and capacities are as an indication and can be modified by the manufacturer without prior notice.  Some machine details could be different from these photos and specifications.  Confirmation of specifications can be requested during the preliminary order phase.  Mecmar continues to innovate and improve its current products in order to remain the gold standard on the world scene.

Outputs are specified in tons of damp grain (husked in case of corn) with the specified humidity contents.  Outputs are estimates based on drying principles, field results and computer simulations.  Outputs can vary due to grain physiological factors (kernel size, chemical composition, variety, degree of ripeness), excessive impurities, adverse weather, etc.
